Monthly temperature log
Add storage rooms and refrigerators, set the range — get a daily log with columns for time, temperature, humidity, signature and action taken. Each area is on a separate sheet.
Who keeps a log and how often
| Who | How often | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Organisations storing medicines | daily — a log or an automated system | Storage Rules No. 260n, item 18 |
| Pharmacies | daily, temperature and humidity of rooms and refrigerators | Good Pharmacy Practice Rules No. 259n |
| Veterinary medicine warehouses and pharmacies | twice a day; the log is kept for a year and stored for four years | Ministry of Agriculture Order No. 426, item 17 |
| Food retail | daily, recorded on paper and/or electronic media | SP 2.3.6.4281-26, item 38 |
| Archive storage | weekly in air-conditioned storage, twice a week in non-air-conditioned | Rosarkhiv Order No. 24, item 5.17; Order No. 77, item 90 |
A paper log is the simplest option, but it has gaps at weekends and holidays. An electronic monitoring system records around the clock and builds the “twice a day” entries from the continuous archive. A ready SOP with a log in Word is available in the SOP generator.
Refrigeration equipment register and cards
Enter refrigerators, cold rooms and freezers: serial and inventory numbers, location, range, monitoring sensor, verification and last mapping dates. The register highlights where verification or re-mapping is overdue or due soon; cards are printed with columns for maintenance records.
The re-mapping date in the register is indicative. Neither Rules 260n nor the EEC Guideline set “every N years”: frequency is determined by risk assessment, and mapping is repeated after changes. How to justify it — on the re-mapping page.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the register data stored?
Only in your browser on this device. Nothing is sent to the server. To move the register to another computer, download it for Excel.
Is the log suitable for an inspection?
It is an example form. Check the recording frequency and columns against your SOP and the requirements that apply to you. What matters for an inspection is complete entries and a verified instrument.
Can the log be kept only electronically?
Rules 260n allow a log or an automated system. The veterinary rules (Order No. 426) explicitly allow an electronic log.
