Low-Voltage System Installation

Installation of equipment for fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, energy metering, fire warning and evacuation, video surveillance, cable TV, structured cabling, intercom and telephony systems. Installation quality determines whether the system will still work in five years: neat cable routes, the right cables, labeling and as-built documentation that allows any engineer to maintain it.

What installation includes, by system

SystemWork
Fire alarminstallation of control and indicating equipment, smoke, heat, manual call point and linear detectors, addressable modules; loop wiring with fire-resistant cables
Fire warning and evacuationvoice and audible alarms, illuminated “Exit” signs, amplifiers, warning lines with sound pressure calculation
Intruder alarmintrusion detectors, panic buttons, control panels, connection to the central monitoring station
CCTVIP and analog cameras, video recorders and servers, PoE switches, monitors at security posts
Access controlcontrollers, readers, electromagnetic and electromechanical locks, turnstiles, barriers, integration with the fire alarm to unlock doors in case of fire
Structured cablingcable routes, outlets, network cabinets and patch panels, line testing
Energy meteringmeters with communication interfaces, data collection devices, communication channels, data collection setup
Cable TVdistribution network, amplifiers, splitters, subscriber outlets
Intercom and telephonydoor entry panels, subscriber units, IP PBX and telephone lines
Environmental monitoringsensors, RS-485 lines, radio gateways, control cabinet

Work sequence

  1. Preparation

    Review of the detailed documentation, incoming inspection of equipment and materials, coordination of the schedule with other contractors.

  2. Cable routes

    Cable trays, trunking, flexible conduit, embedded elements; fire protection system lines are routed separately from other low-voltage lines as required by the standards.

  3. Cable pulling

    Cables with fire performance ratings per GOST 31565-2012, slack at connection points, labeling at both ends.

  4. Equipment installation

    Detectors, cameras, readers, cabinets; distances and mounting heights as per the design and data sheets.

  5. Terminations and line testing

    Measurement of insulation and loop resistance, testing of structured cabling links.

  6. As-built documentation

    As-built drawings, certificates of concealed works, logs, in accordance with the procedure for keeping as-built documentation approved by Order No. 344/pr of the Russian Ministry of Construction.

Common problems we avoid

  • ordinary cable instead of fire-resistant cable in voice evacuation and fire alarm lines;
  • detectors next to supply air grilles and under beams, where smoke does not reach the sensor;
  • no labeling, so a year later the system cannot be maintained;
  • access control that does not unlock doors on a fire alarm signal;
  • insufficient CCTV archive capacity due to an incorrect bitrate calculation.

Frequently asked questions

Can systems be installed at an operating facility?

Yes, the work is scheduled by zone and time so as not to interrupt the customer's operations.

What does the customer receive after installation?

The installed system, as-built documentation, certificates of concealed works, equipment data sheets and certificates and, after commissioning, test reports.
