Pharmaceutical warehouses and distributors
Requirements: the EAEU GDP Rules and the storage rules of Order No. 260n — mapping, sensor placement based on its results, daily monitoring of temperature and humidity, verified measuring instruments, validation of computerized systems.
Solution: a wired or hybrid system for the entire warehouse, separate groups for receiving, quarantine, dispatch and cold room zones; reports in log format; CAPA for deviations; validation and re-mapping on schedule.
Manufacture of medicinal products
Requirements: the EAEU GMP Rules — qualification of premises and equipment, control of storage conditions for active substances, materials and finished products, system validation.
Solution: monitoring of warehouses, cold rooms and production areas, differential pressure between rooms of different cleanliness classes, integration with quality systems, an extended audit trail and roles.
Pharmacies and pharmacy chains
Requirements: Orders No. 259n and No. 260n — daily temperature and humidity logs for premises and refrigerators; for immunobiological medicinal products — SanPiN requirements for the third level of the cold chain.
Solution: a point-based Wi-Fi or GSM system: a thermohygrometer in each storage room, a sensor in each refrigerator, an electronic log instead of a paper one, alerts to the pharmacy manager and the chain’s head office. For details, see our article on temperature control in a pharmacy.
Healthcare facilities and vaccination rooms
Requirements: SanPiN 3.3686-21 — at the fourth level of the cold chain, all immunobiological medicinal products are stored at +2…+8 °C; thermometers recording at least once a minute at the warmest and coldest points according to the temperature map; a log on working days; an emergency plan.
Solution: sensors in each refrigerator according to the temperature map, an electronic monitoring log with an archive, alerts to the person responsible for the cold chain, and a report for the emergency plan showing the actual temperature hold time.
Laboratories, biobanks, cell technologies
Requirements: preservation of samples and reagents, ultra-low-temperature storage, and sometimes pressure and CO₂ in incubators.
Solution: remote probes for −80 °C freezers, door and power monitoring, strict 24/7 alarm escalation, monitoring of nitrogen levels in Dewar vessels and CO₂ in incubators. Details — on the laboratories page.
Cleanrooms
Requirements: cleanliness classes per GOST R ISO 14644-1, maintaining differential pressures between rooms, temperature and humidity per the technical specification.
Solution: differential pressure, temperature and humidity sensors, alarms when the pressure cascade is disrupted, reports by shift.
Food production, warehousing and retail
Requirements: Technical Regulation of the Customs Union TR CU 021/2011 “On Food Safety” requires manufacturers to implement procedures based on HACCP principles, including monitoring at critical control points; storage conditions are set by the product manufacturer. From 1 September 2026 new sanitary rules apply: SP 2.3.6.4281-26 for retail (thermometers or automatic recording in refrigeration equipment, daily control) and SanPiN 2.3/2.4.4282-26 for catering.
Solution: monitoring of cold rooms and freezer rooms, display cases and counters in supermarkets, monitoring at critical control points, reports for the HACCP program, centralized monitoring of a store chain on a single screen. Details — on the food industry page.
Logistics and warehouse networks
Requirements: the EAEU GDP Rules and the storage rules of Order No. 260n also apply to transportation: conditions in the cargo compartment are confirmed by records, vehicles and insulated containers are qualified, and deviations are investigated. For immunobiological medicinal products, SanPiN 3.3686-21 adds requirements for the second and third levels of the cold chain.
Solution: a single server for all sites, regional user groups, consolidated reports, monitoring of refrigerated trucks via GSM data loggers, transport qualification.
Veterinary medicinal products
Requirements: Order of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture No. 426 of 29 July 2020 — monitoring devices no closer than 3 m to doors, windows and heating appliances in rooms larger than 10 m², verification under Federal Law 102-FZ, readings twice a day, a log kept for one year and retained for four years; veterinary pharmacies — Order No. 555; licensing — Rosselkhoznadzor (veterinary and phytosanitary authority) under Government Decree No. 547.
Solution: mapping, a device layout that takes the three-meter restriction into account, a monitoring system with an electronic “twice a day” log generated from the continuous archive, data loggers for vaccine transportation. For details, see our page on veterinary medicinal products.
Blood services and IVF laboratories
Requirements: Russian Government Decree No. 641 of 14 May 2025 — temperature measuring instruments during storage and during transportation longer than 30 minutes, recording at least twice a day, and during transportation — at the start and on arrival; Order of the Ministry of Health No. 803n — storage of cryopreserved biomaterials in liquid nitrogen or its vapor, the organization’s responsibility for storage conditions, cryopreservation logs.
Solution: sensors at the warmest and coldest points of refrigerators according to the temperature map, remote probes in freezers, door and power monitoring, nitrogen level and vapor-phase temperature in Dewar vessels, 24/7 alarm escalation, reports for the transfusion committee. For details, see our page on blood services and IVF.
3PL warehouses
Requirements: a license for the storage of medicinal products (Government Decree No. 547), the EAEU GDP Rules and Order No. 260n; each client runs its own audit with questions about mapping, monitoring of its zone, deviations and verification.
Solution: mapping of the entire warehouse, client zones as separate sensor groups, roles with access only to the client’s own zones, deviation reports by zone, CAPA, verification of the sensor fleet and transport qualification. For details, see our page on 3PL warehouses.
Museums, archives, libraries
Requirements: the rules for storing archival documents (Rosarkhiv Orders No. 24 of 2 March 2020 — for archives, museums and libraries, and No. 77 of 31 July 2023 — for organisations) set archive storage conditions — 17–19 °C and 50–55 % humidity for paper documents, with fluctuations within 5 °C and 10 % — and require readings to be recorded. Museum objects are stored under the Unified Rules (Ministry of Culture Order No. 827 of 23 July 2020) and the museum's own instructions.
Solution: unobtrusive wireless temperature and humidity sensors in exhibition halls, display cases and storage facilities, monitoring of daily fluctuations, reports for curators. Details — on the museums and archives page.

Frequently asked questions
Can all pharmacies in a chain be combined into one system?
Yes. All pharmacies connect to a single server, each with its own plan and alert recipients, while the head office sees a summary for the entire chain.
Is the system suitable for HACCP?
Yes. The system records temperature at critical control points and generates reports for the records of the production control program.
Does a food business need verified sensors?
The requirements depend on the area in which the measurements are used. We recommend approved-type measuring instruments — this makes the data usable as evidence during inspections and in disputes with suppliers.
