Scope of work
| Stage | Deliverable |
|---|---|
| Site survey | measured floor plans, photographic record, existing systems and cable routes |
| Design brief | agreed requirements for the system set, equipment, integration and redundancy |
| Design stage documentation (P) | technical solutions within the design sections, including for state expert review if required |
| Detailed design documentation (R) | layout plans, block and schematic diagrams, cable schedules, specifications |
| Calculations | power supply and UPS, CCTV archive capacity, sound pressure of voice alarms, bandwidth |
| Cost estimates | at the customer's request |
| Designer's supervision | support during installation and revision of solutions |
What the design is based on
- Russian Government Resolution No. 87 of 16 February 2008: content of the sections of design documentation, including communication networks and fire safety measures.
- GOST R 21.101-2020: basic requirements for design and detailed documentation (SPDS, the System of Design Documentation for Construction).
- SP 484.1311500.2020 and SP 486.1311500.2020: design of fire alarm systems and the list of facilities subject to protection.
- SP 3.13130.2009: fire warning and evacuation systems.
- GOST 31565-2012: fire hazard classification of cable products; selection of ng(A)-LS and ng(A)-FRLS versions for fire protection system lines.
- GOST R 51558-2014, GOST R 51241-2008, GOST R 53246-2008: CCTV, access control, structured cabling systems.
Design specifics for pharmaceutical warehouses
- Access control zones mirror the functional storage zones defined by the Rules under Order No. 260n: receiving, main storage, quarantine, rejected and falsified products, dispatch.
- CCTV cameras cover the receiving, dispatch and storage areas for high-value and controlled medicinal products.
- For environmental monitoring, the design provides cable routes or radio coverage to the points determined by mapping, as well as space for the control cabinet.
- Fire detectors in refrigerated and freezer rooms are selected with regard to their operating temperature.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the design take?
It depends on the floor area and the number of systems: for a warehouse or office it is usually a few weeks, for a large facility longer. We fix the timeline after the survey.
Does a low-voltage system design need state expert review?
It depends on the facility and on whether the design is part of the documentation subject to expert review. We determine this at the brief stage.
