Requirements for mapping data loggers
| EEC Guidelines requirement | How Smartag meets it |
|---|---|
| Accuracy of no worse than ±0.5 °C within the acceptance criteria | ±0.5 °C over −30…+40 °C — warehouses, cold rooms and freezer rooms down to −30 °C |
| Approved type and valid verification | Federal Register of Approved Measuring Instruments No. 91745-24, verification per MP-779/01-2024, records in FSIS Arshin |
| Data loggers of the same type for a single temperature map | a fleet of identical Smartag T or Smartag RHT modifications |
| Configurable logging interval | the logging interval is configurable |
| Instrument identification | serial number on the label, linked to the point number on the layout |
| Electronic data transfer | report and raw data for processing in software |
The Smartag measuring range is −30 to +70 °C. For sites with temperatures below −30 °C, such as ultra-low temperature freezers, we select a solution as part of a monitoring system.
How we perform mapping with Smartag
- Preparing the fleet
We check the verification of each instrument in Arshin, set the same interval and delayed start, and label the loggers with point numbers.
- Placement
According to the EEC Guidelines grid, without contact with metal or concrete, with a photo of each installation location.
- Data collection
Reports from all instruments are copied automatically via a USB hub and sorted by zone.
- Analysis and report
Minimum, maximum and mean values per point, hot and cold spots, heat maps and a protocol in the format of the EEC Guidelines.
Choosing a modification
| Task | Modification |
|---|---|
| Temperature mapping | Smartag, Smartag T |
| Temperature and humidity mapping | Smartag RHT |
| Monitoring of a refrigerator or pharmacy premises | Smartag RHT, Smartag T |
| One-off shipment in an insulated container | Smartag mini or Smartag with a PDF report |
| Point inside a chamber, in a product or liquid | Smartag TZ + Smartag Zond |

Frequently asked questions
Which data loggers do you use for mapping?
Smartag recording temperature indicators of our own manufacture, Federal Register of Approved Measuring Instruments No. 91745-24, with valid verification.
Can we buy a fleet of Smartag loggers for our own mapping?
Yes. We supply verified temperature indicators and help with the protocol and data processing.
Is Smartag suitable for the vaccine cold chain?
Yes, with the logging interval set to no more than 1 minute. Each instrument has a serial number for recording in the log.
