What the software does
| Chart for each point | temperature and humidity on one scale, with limits and excursions marked |
| Statistics | minimum, maximum, mean, mean kinetic temperature, duration and number of excursions |
| Summary across several devices | all points of one zone on one screen, compared with each other |
| Grouping by zone | points are grouped the same way as in the mapping protocol |
| Protocol | a ready Word or PDF document in the format accepted for mapping reports |
| Data identification | the device serial number, recording period and settings are transferred to the report automatically |
Mean kinetic temperature is not the same as the arithmetic mean: it gives more weight to time spent at elevated temperatures. When assessing the impact of an excursion on a product, it is this value, together with the duration of the excursion, that is considered.
How to use it
- Collect the files
— connect the devices and copy the reports into one folder. With many devices, it is convenient to use a USB hub and copy everything in one go.
- Load the data
— open the folder in the software. Devices are recognized by their serial numbers.
- Assign points to zones
— exactly as they were placed during mapping: the logger layout must match the report.
- Check the data
— for gaps, whether the period matches the study time, and whether any points were physically located somewhere other than recorded.
- Generate the report
— the software compiles charts, tables and statistics into a document. Conclusions and justifications are written by a specialist, not by the software.
How this relates to the mapping methodology
The software covers data processing but does not replace the methodology. How the logger grid is designed, how long the study lasts and what counts as an acceptable result are explained on the pages “Warehouse mapping”, “How many data loggers you need” and “Re-mapping”. If you need round-the-clock control rather than a one-off report, see our monitoring system.
